EITALL's SmartMessenger Email Messaging
application is a client - server software product designed
to run as a service on Microsoft Windows 95-2000 or Windows
NT operating system. The application incorporates a timer
control that is easily configured by the user to launch at
the entered time (day or night) and can be used to perform
any number of task making it a valuable tool for businesses
which need processes to be perform on a scheduled
basis.
The application can be used to perform
such task as database archiving, file moving, database or
file replication or hard disk maintenance task. The main
messaging component allows the application to send email
messages as to it's successful completion of task or error
notifications in the event of a system failure.
SmartMessenger can monitor system resources or installed
applications such as website either locally or remotely and
report status results to an email address such as a system
administrator or management personnel.
SmartMessenger includes a database engine
which can query ODBC compliant databases and perform calculation
on the data and sent reports through email. This makes it extremely
versatile for applications such as notifications and
reminder messages for outstanding business task.
Recently, SmartMessenger was provided a
plug-in for a corporate Issue Tracking System. In this
instance, SmartMessenger is used to track issues resolution
sign-off requirements and send daily reminder messages to
responsible personnel. Additionally, The application send
daily and weekly reports to the company's Quality Manager
relating the status of each open issue.
