A Merchant Marketing Module (M3) that can be value-added to credit card terminals. The objective of this program is to provide sales agents with a flexible, easy to configure software package that provides value-added services to merchants. Providing additional marketing services differentiates credit card processing services. Merchants that implement a marketing service program are much less likely to switch to another processor.
The merchant marketing module is designed to give the merchant a low cost, yet fully functional loyalty program. The program can also be configured to provide for pre-paid programs like gift certificates. Future enhancements will allow the merchant to track demographic information about customers.
The M3 program has four modules that the merchants can select.

Rewards
Your most valuable customers are those who regularly purchase your products. These customers have developed a habit buying goods from your store. It is critical that you reinforce this buying habit by providing excellent value each time they visit your location.
Rewarding your best customers is one way to reinforce this behavior. In the past frequent customer programs were too expensive and complicated for the average merchant. This has been simplified with the introduction of the Rewards Card.
The Rewards Card can be issued to your best customers and those you want to become your best customers. The Rewards Card keeps track of your customer's purchases and awards points for every preferred purchase. Each card is personalized with your store name and location, a constant reminder to your customer.
The Rewards Card is easy to use for both customers and employees. Your Rewards program is customized for your operation. You establish the system's parameters and determine what rewards you want to offer your customers. The first step in designing your Rewards program is selecting an Activity Track program or a Value Track program.
Activity Track counts the number of times a customer purchases a particular product. The customer is rewarded after a pre-set number of activities occur. This program is similar to a traditional paper punch card method of tracking.
Value Track adds up the value of the goods purchased. The total amount purchased is captured on the card. Customers are rewarded for reaching pre-set thresholds of purchases. This is similar to a frequent flyer program, only instead of tracking airline miles, Rewards tracks dollars spent.
In either program, you set your own reward level and determine the reward your customer receives. You can set single or multiple award levels. It is your custom program. You can even add special messages to each printed receipt to help promote the Rewards Card program.

Pre-Paid
Pre-paid programs are a great way to increase retail sales and provide immediate cash flow to a retailer.
Gift certificates and pre-paid phone cards are just two examples of pre-paid programs your customers are familiar with.
The Pre-Paid Card provides an easy to use, secure method for setting up your own Pre-paid program. You can configure the system for Pre-paid Value Cards or Pre-paid Activity Cards.
Value Cards work just like traditional paper gift certificates, but they are easier to use and much more secure. The cards are activated by your terminal and are redeemable only in your store. Some merchants will choose to use these cards for returns and in-store credits. Value cards are also divisible, a strong advantage of the program. You do not have to give cash back to a customer if they purchase less than the amount of the certificate. The remaining balance stays on the card to be used for a future purchase, instead of refunding cash.
Activity Cards provide a way for merchants to pre-sell activities or items in advance. Phone cards are examples of pre-paid minutes of telephone time.
