VBHost, the standard communications engine used by many of the
turn key programs, such as EVENTRACK TM
and ReflexGT.
VBHost handles all of the communication needs for a point of sale terminal based network. It is the work horse for data collection for numerous loyalty and payment programs world wide. VBHost runs on Windows ’95, Windows ’98 and Windows NT environments.
This software utilizes the flexibility of OCX drivers for interfacing to various databases, including SQL7, Oracle, Microsoft ACCESS, Foxpro and others. The software can be configured to work with virtually any database without modification to the base VBHost program.
The product supports on-line data look up and authorization as well as data file transfer or transaction settlement capabilities. It is being used for activating pre-paid phone cards, authorizing insurance eligibility, payment authorization, loyalty transaction processing and data capture settlement. The communication software offers an EMAIL functionality that piggy backs terminal software upgrades or parameter updates to the POS terminals, while the terminal is connected for settlement.
VBHost can support up to 16 ports on a single PC. Through the use of Digiboard multiplexor’s and drivers, 16 incoming phone lines can be supported off a single VBHost server.
Configurable event logging is provided for network
maintenance and debugging at various data transfer levels.
