OVERVIEW:
To enhance their existing Global e-Commerce International
Bank (GCIB) processes, Bank of America contacted EITALL to
assist in performing their task. EITALL analyzed their
existing international ecommerce processes and proposed an
automated solution that provided many value-added
components.
PROCESS:
Bank of America contracted with EITALL to analyzed their
processes for their current internal communication, financial budgeting &
tracking of all their existing and future ecommerce
programs.
The system that we proposed consisted of automating their internal communication processes via a new Intranet portal designed to handle these task more efficiently.
EITALL developed a project plan document explaining the workflow automation solution that would meet their requirements. After a presentation of the plan and it's acceptance, EITALL began development of a system which included the following components:
| Product Task | Description |
| Document Management System |
EITALL created a Document Management System as a component of the new corporate Intranet that EITALL developed for them. This allowed them to manage all project documents from a secured website and provided a centralized documentation repository. |
| Process Management System |
EITALL created a Process Management System as a component of the new corporate Intranet. This allowed them to manage new project processes by defining the scope of new project implementation request for all their Business Units and all the necessary eForms they needed to submit for requiring approval and funding from the BOA GCIB vice president in charge of new initiatives. It also provided an audit trail of all task as they were performed and documented by the system. |
| Online Ecommerce Initiative Entry Forms System |
EITALL added all the required eForms for new project request including financial data requirements over a 3 year deployment plan broken down to the quarterly levels for each year. The eForm for the financial entry screen performed all the financial calculations and produced the results in an online form via it's internal automated functions. |
| Online Data Collection Host (DCH) |
EITALL developed a Microsoft Sequel Sever database to house all the system's information. This database was linked to the new Intranet as well as the Email Messaging System and included an audit trail table for financial / process evaluations. |
| Email Messaging System (EMS) |
An email messaging component was added to the forms with multiple layers of messaging beginning with an on-occurrence email to the GCIB vice president in charge of new initiatives. |
| Added a Search Engine |
EITALL added a search engine to the Intranet to
allow users to search for ecommerce project
information in a fast and user-friendly environment. |
| Added Online Reports |
EITALL added numerous (printable) reports which were produced with a variety of search criteria options. |
| Added an Admin Maintenance Component |
An admin section was added to allow a system admin to add and edit security rights for all users to login and perform their responsible task. |
EITALL assisted with system set-up, QA and the overall
deployment processes.
